The rose (“the queen of flowers”) has long been known as the perfect flower for women. Its oil has infinite exquisite properties. In ancient Greece, it was related to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. In the Middle Ages, it was considered as the virgin’s flower. It symbolizes purity and feminine beauty. It is one of the most important essential oils for the female reproductive system, aiding to regulate the menstrual cycle.

At MON we distill the highly treasured Bulgarian Rose to obtain the essential oil, the particles of which do not mix with water. The oil from the first distillation is of the highest quality. The water obtained by this distillation (called distilled water or hydrolate) contains some of the dissolved aromatic components of the essential oil. When we distill rose petals, we obtain essential rose oil and its hydrolate: pure, authentic rose water.
