Lavender

Of all essential oils, Lavender is one of the most useful because of its numerous properties, its refreshing fragrance, and its versatility. It is non-toxic when swallowed but more efficient when applied topically.

Lavender flowers have a purplish blue color and they group together in aromatic buds, which have a very characteristic scent. The plant flourishes in summer and the gathering of the flowers for medicinal use is done in July and August. If we want to benefit from its properties, we have to make sure we really have an authentic Lavandula Officinalis, the Espliego or Lavandin are hybrids of the plant but do not have the same properties.
