Palmarosa

Palmarosa is a leafy plant that received the botanical name Cymbopogon Martinii, from India, Indonesia and the Comoros. Its long and narrow leaves can reach a height of one meter. It belongs to the family of Cymbopogon, just like Citronella and Lemongrass. Unlike these two, Palmarosa contains a high proportion of geraniol which gives it an aroma similar to Rose and Geranium but not Lemon, what is generally the case with this kind of plants. Its oil results from the distillation of its leaves, which are picked from the plant before the blossoming.
