The Citronella of Java is a weed originally from Indonesia with long and narrow leaves. The Citronella of Java is  better than the Citronella of Ceylon regarding mosquitos repellent effect. All repellents in pharmacies contain Citronella of Java, as it recognized by the pharmacopoeia union as an insect repellent. Its essential oil has a color that can vary from colourless to pale yellow. It matches well with oil of Lemon, Geranio, Bergamot orange and cedar.
