It is non-toxic when swallowed but more efficient when applied topically.<\/p>\n<p>Lavender flowers have a purplish blue color and they group together in aromatic buds, which have a very characteristic scent. The plant flourishes in summer and the gathering of the flowers for medicinal use is done in July and August.
