Ancient civilizations used it for building their homes, caskets, and trunks, as its cent repelled moths and other insects. It has a syrupy consistency similar to sandalwood. It is a balsamic oil and, it is recommended for the respiratory system and to treat bronchitis. It is used in steam inhalation therapy and in decongesting massage for the chest and back.<\/p>\n<p>It is antiseptic and beneficial for the bladder as a remedy against cystitis and more serious urinary tract infections.
