Its long and narrow leaves can reach a height of one meter. It belongs to the family of Cymbopogon, just like Citronella and Lemongrass. Unlike these two, Palmarosa contains a high proportion of geraniol which gives it an aroma similar to Rose and Geranium but not Lemon, what is generally the case with this kind of plants.
